Marching Contest Results
Congratulations are in order for the Tiger Band.
On October 3, 2009, the Ardmore Tiger Marching Band traveled to the Southern Hospitality Marching Festival in Hartselle, AL. The band competed in competition class 4A. The categories that were judged: Drum Major, Flag Corps, Percussion Section, and Band. All categories received Superior ratings, which is the highest that a band can hope to receive.
After the competition, Mr. Nelson stated that he was happy with the outcome of the competition. “Even though, we went to competition earlier in the season than normal, the students were able to meet the challenge head on and come away with Superior ratings. I am proud of the work our students have made so far, and look forward to perfecting our half-time show for the rest of the football season.”
Head on over to the Multimedia Section to see photos from this event!!
Charms Office
The Ardmore High School Band has recently made some improvements to our website. We have teamed up with Charms Office to allow better communication from the Band's Leadership and the students and parents.
So what does this mean. First off, www.ahstigerband.com will stay in its current form. This site will still host all photos, movies, and audio of the Tiger Band. We will also keep posting new articles and leave the forums up. Charms comes into play, by allowing the director to communicate directly to parents and students through an intuitive interface. Charms will now be hosting the band's up-to-date calendar. You should have received login information from Mr. Nelson. This will allow to login to the private site of Charms and check on your individual student's progress. If you have any problems, contact Mr. Nelson.
